I want to tell all of you something about Eric and his Team, Jesse and Ricky, at Automotive Specialists and about the importance of having a relationship with your auto mechanic. We have only been using the services at Automotive Specialists since last summer. Eric has always been honest with us about our three vehicles and we have been pleased with their work. Two weeks ago, my husband and I were in the process of moving from Virginia Beach to Connecticut. All of our worldly possessions were packed on a truck and my husband and I were staying in a hotel for two nights while he finished up some things at his former job. As luck would have it, as we pulled into the hotel parking garage, I heard a pop, a whine and a hiss and then a nasty smell coming from the engine of my car. The following morning, we dropped the vehicle off to be looked at. There was something that Eric found but he wasn't sure that was the problem. I took the car as I had some errands to run and he ordered a part that was due in the following day. Shortly after I left the shop, the car did the same thing again. I immediately returned to the shop and Jesse ran out (in the rain) to see if he could hear the noise or smell the nasty smell. I was so stressed, knowing that I was supposed to drive the car to Connecticut the following day and worrying that the car would malfunction. They immediately dove into the engine, testing and checking things and ultimately determined that there was something with a fan and cooling system and a pressure relief valve. They completed the work and we left for Connecticut from their shop the following afternoon. NO MORE PROBLEMS!!! Thank you and kudos to you at Automotive Specialists for helping us in our time of need. Our kids will continue to come to you to maintain their vehicles and now we are faced with finding a new mechanic here in Bridgeport. You've set the bar incredibly high!
